Apple Dictation Error Replaces “Racist” with “Trump”: Company Promises Correction

Apple has acknowledged a flaw in the iPhone's speech recognition model that briefly displays "Trump" when someone says the word "racist."
A technical error in Apple's voice-to-text function has caused a lot of laughter on social media. According to the company, the problem caused words with an "r" consonant - including the word "racist" - to be briefly replaced with the word " Trump ." According to US media reports , an Apple spokesperson promised on Tuesday to fix the error in the speech recognition model as soon as possible. The problem affects several words with a certain degree of "phonetic overlap."
Numerous social media users posted videos on Tuesday in which they reproduced the error. Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, meanwhile, accused the company of intentional "subliminal programming." The White House has not yet commented on the issue.
The mistake comes at a bad time for the company. Apple is currently trying to strengthen its ties with Donald Trump's administration. The day before, it announced that it would spend $500 billion in the US over the next four years, which was widely seen as an attempt to curry favor with the Trump administration.
The investments should include a factory for artificial intelligence servers in Texas and create about 20,000 research and development jobs nationwide.
Meanwhile, on the same day that the technical glitch was announced, Apple shareholders voted against a proposal by a conservative nonprofit to roll back the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. Apple has so far proven to be one of the few major tech companies to hold back on eliminating DEI policies under the current heightened conservative pressure.
